Medical Science Liaison – Dermatology / Immunology

We are seeking a highly experienced Medical Science Liaison with a strong background in dermatology and/or immunology, including demonstrated experience within the German healthcare landscape.

This role requires an individual capable of delivering immediate impact in a launch-ready environment, with an established understanding of local Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and proven ability to engage and influence scientific stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific Engagement & KOL Management

• Lead high-quality, non-promotional scientific exchange with dermatologists and immunology experts across Germany
• Identify, develop, and maintain long-term relationships with German KOLs, investigators, and scientific institutions
• Leverage existing knowledge of the German KOL landscape to accelerate engagement and collaboration

Therapeutic Area Expertise

• Serve as a subject matter expert in dermatology and/or immunology, with strong understanding of disease areas, treatment paradigms, and evolving scientific data
• Communicate complex clinical data effectively to healthcare professionals and stakeholders

Launch Readiness & Strategic Support

• Support medical launch readiness activities for pipeline and near-launch products
• Contribute to scientific positioning, medical education, and field strategy implementation
• Provide insights from the field to shape medical and cross-functional strategy, ensuring rapid and effective market entry

Insights Generation

• Systematically collect, analyze, and communicate medical insights from external experts
• Translate insights into actionable recommendations for Medical Affairs and cross-functional stakeholders

Clinical Research & Evidence Generation

• Support and facilitate clinical trials, including investigator-sponsored trials (ISTs)
• Contribute to real-world evidence (RWE) initiatives such as non-interventional studies (NIS), registries, and collaborative research

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Key Account Management (KAM), Commercial, and Market Access teams while maintaining compliance boundaries
• Provide scientific input and support for internal decision-making

Medical Education & Internal Support

• Deliver internal training on dermatology/immunology topics and product-related science
• Support advisory boards, expert panels, and scientific meetings

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure full compliance with German regulations, industry codes, and company SOPs
• Act as a trusted scientific partner in all external interactions

Qualifications

Education

• Advanced scientific/medical degree required (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent)

Experience

• Strong experience in dermatology and/or immunology is required
• Previous experience as an MSL or in a comparable medical affairs role
• Demonstrated experience within the German pharmaceutical market
• Proven track record of engaging and managing German KOL networks
• Experience supporting product launches strongly preferred
