Your job at DKV Mobility? As part of a leading European B2B platform for on-the-road payment solutions, you will work in an exciting environment. Our tasks are defined by our Purpose: To drive the transition towards an efficient and sustainable future of mobility. We offer you numerous opportunities to help shape the mobility of tomorrow in a dynamic and agile environment. Our approximately 2,700 employees throughout Europe are united by a common passion: to give their best every day for our customers in more than 50 countries. True to our claim: You drive, we care. Become part of our diverse, dedicated and unique team!

Do you want to play an active role in driving a company’s growth and turning big plans into reality? Then join our team! You can look forward to exciting challenges, an inspiring environment, and a work culture that combines flexibility and collaboration – with our 60/40 hybrid model and modern offices in Ratingen as a hub for ideas. As part of our team, you will take on the following responsibilities:
  • You define and continuously evolve the SRE strategy, aligned with business priorities and product roadmaps, and establish SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets as core governance and decision‑making instruments.
  • You take executive ownership of key reliability KPIs such as availability, latency, MTTR, and error‑budget burn rates, translating business risk and customer impact into clear technical reliability priorities.
  • You drive continuous improvements in resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity, while ensuring strong observability standards across platforms (metrics, logs, traces) for rapid detection and resolution of incidents.
  • You champion an automation‑first mindset, reduce operational manual work (toil), enforce blameless postmortems, and ensure systematic follow‑up to prevent recurring incidents.
  • You collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, Platform, and Security teams to design fault‑tolerant, scalable, and cloud‑native systems, embedding reliability as a true product feature while ensuring cost‑efficient investments.
  • You provide disciplinary and functional leadership to Site Reliability Engineering teams, build a high‑performing and psychologically safe learning culture, and develop career paths, skills frameworks, and coaching models up to senior and principal levels.
  • You have a deep, hands-on understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles, including SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and toil reduction, and have successfully introduced SRE in traditionally DevOps‑ or operations‑driven organizations.
  • You bring a strong technical foundation in large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems and modern software and platform architectures, including experience with platform engineering and internal developer platforms.
  • You have proven experience in incident management, resilience engineering, and operating production systems at scale, and you lead calmly, clearly, and decisively in high-pressure situations.
  • You possess solid expertise in core engineering practices such as observability, automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code, applying them to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
  • You have extensive senior leadership experience in complex organizations and provide both disciplinary and functional leadership to multiple technical teams.
  • You communicate reliability risks and technical trade-offs effectively to non-technical stakeholders and foster sustainable team performance and a strong learning culture through a coaching-oriented leadership mindset.
