We are looking for an analytical and proactive Fraud
Prevention Specialist to join our growing team.
In this role, you will play a key part in protecting our
customers and business from fraud-related risks. You will investigate fraud
alerts, identify suspicious patterns and emerging threats, contribute to fraud
prevention initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders across the
organization to ensure effective case management and risk mitigation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review and investigate fraud alerts, fraud reports, and sanctions screening hits
- Analyze cases to identify root causes and assess potential fraud scenarios
- Define and implement appropriate measures to mitigate fraud risks and financial losses
- Identify irregularities, emerging risks, and opportunities to strengthen fraud prevention controls
- Handle customer complaints, disputes, and inquiries related to fraud prevention activities
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective case management and resolution
- Prepare analyses, reports, process documentation, work instructions, and operational guidelines
- Support responses to requests from authorities, regulatory bodies, and other external parties
- Contribute to the optimization, testing, and continuous improvement of fraud prevention processes, rules, and systems
- Document investigation findings, root cause analyses, and business decisions in a clear and structured manner
- Support audit activities and compliance-related reviews and inquiries
- Perform other operational and administrative tasks as required
- 2+ years of relevant experience in Fraud Prevention, Risk Management, Compliance, Investigations, Financial Services, or similar operational environments
- Experience reviewing suspicious patterns, identifying root causes and taking necessary measures
- Ability to take risk-based decisions independently
- Experience identifying process improvement opportunities and contributing to operational excellence initiatives
- Experience in creating and maintaining process documentation and work instructions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
Nice to Have
- Experience with fraud monitoring tools, transaction monitoring systems, AML, KYC, sanctions screening, or financial crime prevention
- Experience in testing and optimizing fraud prevention controls and monitoring rules
- German language skills
