Your Prospective Job:
For our renowned customer Airbus Defence and Space you are acting as a Software Engineer for Software Tools & Automation (m/f/d) in Manching.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and test high-performance C++ applications and libraries (C++17 or later)
- Develop and maintain cross-platform software solutions compatible with both Unix and Windows environments
- Utilise CMake to manage build systems and streamline development workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and integrate components
- Contribute to the development of simulation tools and frameworks where applicable
- Implement and integrate gRPC-based communication between distributed services
- Participate in system architecture discussions and apply sound software design principles
- Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI/ML integration and model-based control patterns (MCP)
- Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code and conduct peer code reviews
Your Profile:
- Completed studies in computer science, software engineering, a related technical field or a comparable qualification
- Experience in simulation development (e.g., physics engines, real-time systems, numerical modeling)
- Solid understanding of systems architecture and software design principles (e.g. modularity, scalability, performance optimisation)
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and debugging tools
- Solid experience in simulation or AI is a plus
- Knowledge of multi-threading, networking, and low-latency system design
- Familiarity with gRPC and protocol buffers for service-to-service communication
- Strong proficiency in C++, with practical experience using features from C++17 or newer standards
- Working knowledge of CMake for building and managing C++ projects
- Demonstrated experience developing software in both Unix/Linux and Windows environments should be present
- Fluent English skills both spoken and written
- German knowledge is desirable
