We are looking for a Credit & Collections Analyst to join our team and support effective credit risk management and collections activities. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing customer creditworthiness, monitoring overdue balances, and actively managing the recovery of outstanding payments, while working closely with internal Credit and Sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the credit risk of prospective clients in line with internal credit policies and procedures
- Perform preliminary credit checks using internal and external information sources
- Review and validate the completeness and accuracy of documentation required for account setup
- Monitor overdue balances on a daily basis for the assigned customer portfolio, based on available reports
- Contact clients via phone and email to collect outstanding payments
- Obtain and track payment confirmations (payment promises, written confirmations)
- Ensure compliance with contractually agreed payment terms
- Escalate cases with significant payment delays in accordance with internal procedures
- Initiate and manage customer blocking/unblocking processes based on outstanding debt status
- Communicate internally decisions regarding temporary or permanent customer blocking
- Negotiate payment plans or deferrals within approved limits, in coordination with Credit and Sales teams
- Monitor adherence to agreed payment schedules
- Propose additional actions in cases of non-compliance with agreed payment arrangements
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Good understanding of credit risk and exposure concepts
- Ability to identify early risk signals (payment delays, dependency on key clients, fragile financial structures, etc.)
- Logical and structured thinking with a focus on assessing the impact of decisions
- Strong analytical skills and results-oriented mindset
- Ability to maintain firmness while demonstrating diplomacy in client interactions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic financial and accounting knowledge
