Your Prospective Job:

For our renowned customer Airbus Operations you are acting as Materials Failure Analyst (m/f/d) in Bremen within the Materials & Processes (M&P) Laboratories Team .

Your Responsibilities:

• Supportive role in determining the failure mechanisms
• Establish facts and present evidence based data and conclusions in conjunction with the colleagues
• Perform Failure Analysis on a wide range of materials and components, especially aerospace alloys used in structual applications
• Perform material characterization through analytical methods, (e.g. metallography, chemical analysis and testing)
• Determine the failure mechanism on aircraft structure and parts by fractographic analysis
• Prepare a comprehensive and high quality report detailing the investigation and its results
• Support activities that secure the safety, quality and operational reliability of equipment and assets used during the course of failure investigations

Your Profile:

• Completed studies in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering / Science or comparable
• Professional experience in Engineering, Research and Development, Material Testing / Inspection and Materials Engineering
• Knowledge about metallography, fractography, microscopy (scanning electron, light), material analysis and sample preparation advantageous
• Competency of testing and calibration laboratories (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025) advantageous
• Skills in use of Google Workspace
• Fluent English and advanced German skills, spoken and written
