Your prospective job:

You are acting as a System Engineer for maintenance design on civil and military helicopters (m/f/d) for our client Airbus Helicopters in Donauwörth.

Your responsibilities:

• Supplier management: Monitoring the testability design (built-in test) of avionics devices and systems by external suppliers
• Software logic: Development of error monitoring logic for central recording in the core avionics software
• Causal modeling: Creation of fault cause models to link observable fault effects with their origins
• Diagnostic strategy: Definition of filter rules for false alarms (“fake failures”) and diagnostic rules at the system level
• Troubleshooting: Creation of dynamic troubleshooting procedures for all relevant aircraft faults
• Certification: Preparation of the necessary documentation for the certification process
• Preparation of technical deliverables (specifications, validations, and documentation)
• Scheduling and monitoring of milestones and delivery dates
• Validation of the scope of development for the respective activities
• Preparation of annual cost estimates for the implementation of activities
• Contract drafting for outsourced services
• Payment release after successful validation of results
• Definition of work packages for subcontractors
• Ongoing support and follow-up of external activities
• Acceptance and validation of the delivered results

Your profile:

• Completed studies in System Engineering or comparable
• Work experience in the field of Design Engineering, Engineering, Product Development, Contract Management and at least 5 years of experience in project management for development projects within an aviation program
• Function development for helicopters (especially system diagnostics/troubleshooting) of great advantage
• Development of functions for avionics systems highly advantageous
• Testability of embedded systems is a major advantage
• Safety analyses (e.g., FMEA) and knowledge of the certification process is desirable
• Tracking and controlling outsourced activities (subcontracting) and Budget management skills are major advantage
• Fluent English and basic German skills, both spoken and wirtten
• French skills would be a plus
