Are you ready to lead a high-performing Accounts Payable team and drive operational excellence? We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Team Manager to take ownership of our AP function. In this role, you’ll not only ensure the accurate and timely processing of payables, but also champion process improvements, foster strong cross-functional partnerships, and empower your team to deliver outstanding results.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop the AP team (Junior to Senior levels)
- Oversee daily AP operations, ensuring timely invoices, payments, and reconciliations
- Oversee the end-to-end processing, verification, and posting of domestic and international incoming invoices for multiple group entities via SAP Invoice Monitor
- Ensure VAT compliance by reviewing input VAT deductions and managing correct VAT code assignments in SAP
- Manage payment runs and oversee bank transaction processing, including support and monitoring of the Multicash payment system
- Monitor KPIs and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
- Act as the main point of contact for escalations and cross-functional collaboration (e.g., Procurement, Vendors)
- Support audits and month-end/year-end closing activities
- Drive continuous improvement of accounts payable processes in coordination with internal interfaces, focusing on automation, efficiency, and user experience
- Prepare reports and analysis for senior management
- Ensure proper handling of employee expense reimbursements and corporate card reconciliations
- Collaborate with procurement to enhance Procure-to-Pay (P2P) efficiency
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of AP processes, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and reporting tools
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced English; German language is a plus
- Experience in high-volume or shared services environments
- Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and tax regulations
