Your prospective job:

For our international client in the aviation and space programs industry, we are looking for you as a Network Systems Engineer – Space (m/f/d) in Bremen for permanent employment.

Your responsibilities:

• Definition of the Network architecture, including Space nodes, Ground nodes and User Terminals
• Determination of link budgets and communication protocols with assessment of implication over the Digital Payload architecture
• Realisation of traffic model simulations
• Implementation of sub-systems and systems architecture trade-offs and performance analysis
• Supplier management (space, ground and user), reviewing unit level performance and interfaces for suitability and assess impacts to performance (travel to supplier facilities are

foreseen)

• Definition of IRD towards Space, Ground and User segments
• Definition of on-board-processing requirements
• Perform assessment of ground facilities
• Participation in studies and proposals

Your profile:

• A Degree in telecommunications, electronics, electrical, informatics or comparable education
• Advanced knowledge of Network Management for terrestrial application
• Advanced experience in modelling traffic routing of complex systems
• Extended knowledge of the 5G protocol with familiarity on the 3GPP workgroup
• Basic knowledge of Space Communication protocol standards (DBS, CCSDS..), Security and Cybersecurity is a plus
• Good german skills and very good English skills, written and spoken
