- Networking and effective collaboration with researchers worldwide
- Previous experience managing or developing journals
- Thorough understanding of editors’ and authors’ needs in their publishing activities, specifically open access
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills, particularly with regard to meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks
- Experience in academic teaching or research will be a plus
- Professional computer skills (standard office software)
- Excellent written and spoken English is essential
- Support the growth of OA journals in Medicine and Life Sciences.
- Build and manage relationships with editors, authors, reviewers, and academic partners.
- Drive submissions and journal visibility through outreach and promotion.
- Monitor performance and support editorial strategy.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth journal operations.
- Represent journals at academic events and conferences.
- Stay informed on trends in Open Access publishing
