Your prospective job:

You are acting as a Materials & Processes Engineer (m/f/d) for our client Airbus Defence and Space in Manching.

Your responsibilities:

• Development of functional materials and associated manufacturing processes
• Support to workpackages in the area of FCAS and internal development projects
• Support to national and international R&T projects
• Deliver material solutions including associated data to other airframe disciplines
• Develop eco-efficient materials and processes to comply with EHS regulations such as REACh
• Creation and harmonization of material and process specifications
• Definition of material and manufacturing process selection lists based on program requirements
• Definition, coordination and execution of material, process or part specific qualification campaigns
• M&P support to other engineering and manufacturing disciplines
• M&P support to supplier audits, quality escapes or obsolescences
• Support in supplier development in the area of structural and non-structural polymers
• Ensure appropriate documentation and reporting

Your profile:

• Completed studies in aerospace, mechanical engineering, composite materials / composites or comparable
• Work experience in the aerospace industry and in laboratory environment
• Basic knowledge in the area of aircraft design and associated
• Experience in definition and execution of test programs including coordination with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• First experience with environmental regulatory compliance
• Knowledge of work package management and reporting
• Confident handling of MS-Office
• Knowledge of CAD
• Fluent German and English, both spoken and written
