As part of our team, you will take on the following responsibilities:

  • You assume overall responsibility for the Payment Competence Center, including leadership, budget ownership, and strategic direction.
  • You are accountable for the end‑to‑end operation of the DKV Card authorization system, including vendor management.
  • You ensure a highly available and stable card operation across all acceptance points as well as in App&Go.
  • You strategically develop the DKV Scheme and manage its rollout across Europe.
  • You are responsible for the expansion of DKV card acceptance, including chip card upgrades and the onboarding of new partners.
  • You hold central responsibility for provider and partner management, including escalation management.
  • You manage the technical enablement of new and existing acceptance partners across Europe.
  • You continuously optimize rollout and enablement processes, with a strong focus on scalability and time‑to‑market.
  • You initiate and lead strategic payment initiatives and projects across the organization.
  • You contribute your payment expertise as a strategic capability across all DKV business units.
  • You bring several years of experience in the functional and disciplinary leadership of specialized payment or IT teams with at least 10 employees, including budget responsibility and the establishment of high‑performing organizational structures.
  • You possess deep payment expertise and have demonstrably held end‑to‑end responsibility for authorization systems and card schemes.
  • You have extensive experience in vendor and provider management within complex, international partner ecosystems and are responsible for contract, performance, and escalation management at a senior professional level.
  • You stand out through strong project and stakeholder management capabilities and are able to orchestrate payment initiatives company‑wide as a subject matter expert, driving strategic transformation programs.
  • You have very good German and English language skills and operate confidently in an international, cross‑functional environment.
