As part of our team, you will take on the following responsibilities:
- You analyze the existing system, infrastructure, and CMDB landscape and develop technical architecture and design concepts to support its continuous evolution.
- You design, plan, and implement infrastructure and asset management solutions while ensuring their seamless integration into the existing IT architecture.
- You are responsible for the ongoing development of CMDB structures and for ensuring high data quality and consistency across all infrastructure domains.
- You establish and enhance standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks for the identification, maintenance, and classification of IT assets.
- You own and further develop the company-wide Asset Classification methodology (CIAA) and ensure its consistent application in line with security, risk, and compliance requirements.
- You ensure comprehensive and reliable asset inventory management and provide transparency regarding relationships and dependencies between systems, services, and infrastructure components.
- You assess IT assets based on their protection requirements and derive corresponding architecture, security, and design standards.
- You advise internal IT teams on CMDB, asset classification, protection requirements, architecture standards, and regulatory frameworks such as NIS2, DORA, and ISMS.
- You evaluate emerging technologies and identify optimization opportunities to align architectural decisions with business objectives.
- As the central point of contact for CMDB architecture, you work closely with IT Operations, IT Security, Enterprise Architecture, and Service Management teams.
- You hold a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification in the IT field.
- You have several years of experience designing, operating, and continuously improving complex IT infrastructures, including their documentation and modeling.
- You possess hands-on experience with ITSM platforms, CMDB solutions, and their integration into enterprise IT environments.
- You have practical experience in IT Asset Management and Configuration Management, including assessing assets in terms of criticality, risk, and protection requirements.
- You have a strong understanding of the interdependencies between IT architecture, CMDB, asset inventory management, CIAA classification, security requirements, and compliance frameworks.
- You are familiar with industry standards and frameworks such as ITIL, ISMS, as well as regulatory requirements including NIS2 and DORA.
- Ideally, you have experience managing external service providers and collaborating across various IT functions.
- You work in a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented manner and possess strong consulting and communication skills.
- Fluent German and very good English skills complete your profile.
